A Master of Midwifery and Women’s Health Science programme is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of public health concepts and practices. The program typically includes a mix of classroom lectures, laboratory work, and field experiences.
In addition to classroom work, students in a Bachelor of Public Health program typically complete a supervised field experience, where they can apply their knowledge and skills in a real-world setting. This may involve working with public health agencies, community organizations, or research institutions.
Direct Entry
A Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least 5 passes.
A Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with 1 principle pass and 2 subsidiary passes obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent.
UCU foundation or bridging course results with 2.0 GPA and above.
International Applicants must have qualifications equivalent to 1 or 2 above and would be subjected to a foundation or bridging course approved by NCHE.
The Mature Age/Special Entry
Candidate for the Mature Age/Special Entry scheme must be Ugandan nationals of at least 22 years and have had formal education. Those who are successful, in both the written and the oral examination are then considered for admission.

Graduates with a Bachelor of Public Health degree are prepared for a variety of careers in public health, including health education, community outreach, epidemiology, public health policy, and research. They may also choose to pursue advanced degrees in public health or related fields, such as medicine, nursing, or health administration.
